With the support of the « Délégation pour l’Action Extérieure des Collectivités Territoriales » (DAECT) of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Agency for Mediterranean Cities and Territories, AVITEM, is honoured and happy to participate in the Act 4 of the Mediterranean of the future on December 1st.

Within the framework of this major annual Mediterranean event, launched in 2017 by the South-Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, AVITEM will organise a workshop from 4 pm to 5 pm on 1 December on the theme: “Strengths and fragilities of urban systems during the health crisis: towards greater resilience“.

While the urban planning-health/public health link has long appeared under the effect of major pandemics, the health crisis of the Covid19 has brutally questioned the contemporary model of urban development. It will therefore be the task of this workshop to provide answers to the many questions raised about the resilience of Mediterranean cities, faced with the same questions about their capacity to withstand the shock of the health crisis and to overcome its consequences in a wide range of fields.
