[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The webinar on November 6 will deal with the positioning of the Mediterranean port as a new stabilising and reassuring centre in a context of sustained and repeated crisis. Territorial complexities are emerging around this central hub, which are being resolved through networks, partnerships and reinitialised logistics. Since the global crisis has revealed the risks linked to over-dependence on a single production site for so-called “strategic” products, creating a major risk of supply disruption, the analysis led to a re-examination of the organisation of the main supply chains, paying increased attention to the risks linked to the geographical concentration of production, and thus to reorganise their supply chain and\/or stock management.<\/p>\n

In this logic, the accumulation of risks (health, environmental, geopolitical) leads to a strategy of diversification of supply countries. This may also mean relocating within the national territory or regionalisation of production chains, but the costs of relocating activities (for both businesses and consumers) cannot be neglected. Thus, it is perhaps more the just-in-time organisation of production that could be called into question by the current crisis than the existence of global production chains. Finally, this crisis is above all a reminder of the necessary complementarity between globalisation and the role of the state, which alone can guarantee against systemic risks.<\/p>\n
