On 17 and 18 December 2018, the Mediterranean urban planners network welcomed its members and main partners to Marseille, as part of its annual conference.
Gathered at the Euroméditerranée site, some forty participants attended during these two days.
Nine development operations were represented, from both shores of the Mediterranean: Tirana, Ksar Tafilelt, Alexandria, Barcelona, Marseille, Nice, Tetouan, Zenata and Tunis.
Alongside these developers were three other groups of participants: institutions (the EIB, the French CDC and the Tunisian CDC, the Ministry of Ecological Transition and the Ministry of Territorial Cohesion, the General Commission for Equality of the Territories, the South Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, the City of Marseille and the CMI-World Bank), industrial operators (Engie, Ingerop and Ea-Ecoentreprises, LYDEC) and experts (IRD, AVITEM).
The work programme of these two days allowed several formal and informal exchange sessions, presentations of development projects, a field visit (The Makers and the Allar demonstration island, led by EPA Euroméditerranée), presentations of innovative schemes to support development programmes and the structuring of financing for major development projects in the Mediterranean.
